Dennis Bone was recently named to Governor-elect Chris Christie’s transition team. The announcement is a reflection of Bone’s leadership both as the Verizon New Jersey president as well as chairman of the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce.
Bone will serve as co-chairman of Christie’s economic development and growth sub-committee with Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac, who also is a former state treasurer. Their committee is charged with identifying economic issues and advising the next governor on appointments to departments of state government in the incoming administration.
Bone also co-chairs the state chamber’s Cornerstone New Jersey Vision 20/20 project, which consists of nine initiatives that, if implemented, would position New Jersey as a regional and global leader. Participants from all segments of New Jersey business association and civic organizations are working collaboratively with state and local leaders to adopt the initiatives.
