Hi. I'm Donnett Barnett Verley, Director of Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility, for Verizon New Jersey. I am responsible for Verizon's philanthropic and community outreach efforts in Bergen, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Passaic, Salem, Sussex, and Warren counties.
I began my career with Verizon in 1992, at NYNEX Mobile Communications as a wireless sales consultant. Over the years, I have held various management positions in Corporate Business Planning, Network Operations and Federal Regulations. My career in telecommunications has provided me with experience in the wireless, long distance and local telephony spectrums of the industry.
I am actively involved with many local organizations in the above communities, working towards creating a better economic future for these gateway areas into the state of New Jersey.
I serve as an active board member of the following organizations: Bergen County Workforce Investment Board, Bergen Community College Foundation, Hudson County Community College Foundation, Foundation For Free Enterprise, the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce, St. Vincent Academy and the Supplier Diversity Development Council of New Jersey.
